Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our privacy-focused video tools

Yes, absolutely. All video processing happens entirely in your web browser using WebAssembly technology. Your videos never leave your device, and no data is ever uploaded to any server. We don't have access to your files, and there's nothing stored on our end.
We use WebAssembly (WASM) and modern browser APIs to process videos directly in your browser. When you select a file, it's loaded into your browser's memory and processed using highly optimized code. The result is then saved directly to your device. At no point does your video travel across the internet.
No installation required. Everything works directly in your modern web browser. Simply visit the site, choose a tool, select your file, and start processing. You'll need a browser that supports WebAssembly (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge - all recent versions).
All modern browsers support our tools, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser for the best performance and compatibility. Mobile browsers are also supported, though processing may be slower on less powerful devices.
The only limit is your device's available memory (RAM). Since processing happens in your browser, larger files require more memory. Most modern computers can handle files up to several gigabytes, but mobile devices may be more limited. If you experience issues with large files, try closing other tabs or applications to free up memory.
Processing speed depends on your device's CPU power, the file size, and the complexity of the operation. Client-side processing is a trade-off: you get complete privacy, but the speed is limited by your device rather than powerful server hardware. For better performance, use a desktop or laptop computer rather than a mobile device.
Once the page is loaded, some tools can work offline if your browser has cached the necessary resources. However, you'll need an internet connection for the initial page load to download the WebAssembly files and scripts. We're working on Progressive Web App (PWA) support for full offline functionality.
Yes, all tools are completely free to use with no hidden costs, subscriptions, or premium tiers. Since everything runs on your device, we don't have server costs to cover. The project is open source and built with a focus on accessibility and privacy.
We support all common video formats including MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, MKV, and more. The exact formats available may vary by tool and browser. If you encounter an unsupported format, try converting it to MP4 first using another tool.
Currently, most tools process one file at a time to ensure stability and performance. Batch processing is on our roadmap for future updates. For now, you can open multiple browser tabs to process several files simultaneously, but be mindful of your device's memory limitations.
